Alameda County Public Work’s Agency seeks to fill the position of Associate Land Surveyor, to serve as the first-line Supervisor of either the Survey Support Section of the Capital Improvement Program or the County Survey Section with responsibilities in supervising both the office and field survey staff and work. The minimum requirements for this position are: (I) the equivalent of two years full time experience in the position of Land Surveyor in the Alameda County classified service. (Non-classified includes the District Attorney’s Office, Hospital Authority, and the Consolidated Courts. Or (II) the equivalent of six years of full-time experience in Land Survey work of which two years must have included supervisory experience managing the work of professional and technical staff.
Special Requirements: must possess a valid certificate of registration a Land Surveyor, or a Civil Engineer authorized to practice Land Surveying, as issued by the State of California. Must possess a valid class C California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
A Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying /Engineering or Math is considered desirable.
