Senior Surveying Technician - Stanislaus County Department of Public Works
Stanislaus County Public Works is conducting a recruitment to fill a vacancy in our Engineering/Survey Department. The Senior Survey Technician, under direction, performs a wide range of moderately complex technical or para-professional surveying work in connection with engineering design and construction. The Senior position is distinguished by the requirement for a high degree of skill in para-professional land surveying work and the responsibility to provide leadership and supervision to staff in the lower engineering/surveying classifications. Incumbents at this level are responsible for moderately difficult and responsible land surveying work in a variety of areas.
The minimum requirements for this position are:
Two (2) or more years completed at an accredited college or university with major coursework in land surveying, construction management or a related field; AND
Three (3) years of experience in an engineering, surveying and/or architectural office performing civil engineering, traffic engineering, land survey, or construction inspection work at a level of difficulty equivalent to the work performed by an Engineering Technician in the Stanislaus County Department of Public Works;
An additional two (2) or more years completed at an accredited college or university may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience, provided that there were courses in engineering, surveying, drafting, mathematics, computer science, or the physical sciences; AND
Applicants must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and remain free from repeated preventable accidents.
