Pre-1982 R.E.'s

While signing a bunch of Corner Records today I kept crossing out "or R.C.E." and wondered just how many active pre '82 RE's can there be.
It's been 35 years!

I believe there are approximately 10, 000 pre-82 licenses - most of which probably aren't practicing land surveying.

In comparison, prior to this last round of testing, there were approximately 4200 current land surveying licenses. There has been a spike, approximately 40%, in the number of land surveying licenses issued over the last decade - according to a report presented at the last BPELSG meeting.

One of my mentors was a pre 82 and I can only strive try to be
as good of a surveyor as that man is.
Because of mortality you will see less and less adding to the existing shortage.
I wonder if title law will be transformed into a Torrens system?
