Job Title: Survey Technician/Assistant Land Surveyor
Location: Calabasas, California
Job Description:
Diamond West is looking for a qualified and highly motivated Survey Technician/Assistant Land Survey to join our Survey Division. Under general supervision the candidate should be able to fulfill the following job requirements:
• Conduct research in the area of surveying.
• Perform calculations and field surveying on control, boundary, site, topographic, ALTA, design and construction survey projects.
• Perform field surveys and construction staking services.
• Prepare maps and exhibits of record, records of survey, final maps, lot-line adjustments encumbrance maps, and legal descriptions in accordance with the State of California.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying, Engineering or 4 years of land surveying field and office experience.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of land surveying and mapping.
• Computer proficiency with AutoCAD, LDD, Civil 3D, and survey software, maintaining awareness of the latest technologies in surveying engineering.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Land-Surveyor-In-Training Certification (LSIT) or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
