Michael Ford Land Surveying has an immediate opening for a Land Surveyor in Santa Rosa, CA
Job Description:
This person will manage the preparation of the field and office operations including boundary, right-of-way, control, topographic and design surveys. The position requires the following abilities:
Project management and organization skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience conducting records research and property boundary analysis
Perform office and field calculations for boundaries/ALTA maps, topographic maps, Records of Survey and construction survey projects
Perform chief of party field duties for surveys and construction staking services.
Perform post-processing of conventional and GPS data using Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
Prepare maps for, records of survey, subdivision maps, lot-line adjustments and legal descriptions
Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years of land surveying work experience – Office/Field
Practical knowledge of land surveying and mapping techniques
Proficiency with Trimble S6 robotic total station, Trimble R8 GPS systems and TDS data collection
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and TBS survey software.
Microsoft Office word processing and Excel spread sheet
Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
Associates Degree in Geomatics Surveying or equivalent experience/knowledge
Professional Land Surveyor license preferred or will consider LSIT certificate.
Salary commensurate with experience
