SENIOR SURVEYOR
$7,162.13 - $9,172.80 Monthly
The Senior Surveyor will assist the field crews by preparing their project folders, providing control points, maps and other supporting data. They will also post processing survey data and data analysis and will be responsible for processing survey control data for complex projects and developing and updating survey procedures and standards.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist land surveyors, engineers, and geologists as needed regarding survey and mapping data.
• Process raw survey data into a variety of requestor specified formats, including maps, charts, HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center)-2, and ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) documents.
• Coordinating survey requests with District staff.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience:
Two years of responsible technical experience in surveying, drafting or engineering support.
Training:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level mathematical course work including trigonometry.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a Land Surveyor in Training certificate from the State of California desirable.
