Senior Land Surveyor | Oberkamper & Associates, Novato

Oberkamper & Associates Civil Engineers, Inc. in Novato, California is looking for a qualified candidate to fill an opening for Senior Land Surveyor. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated to learn and teach the existing and emerging cutting-edge survey industry technologies as they develop. This would include both the hardware and software components of the profession. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight and decisions related to complex land surveying projects as well as managerial oversight and project scheduling. The types of survey work include boundary and topographic surveys, subdivision mapping, construction surveying, ALTA surveys, Right-of-Way surveys, preparation of Records of Survey and Lot Line Adjustments, and AutoCAD mapping using Civil 3D. As a project manager, candidate shall be able to deliver a comprehensive set of surveying and mapping services to clients as their single point of contact. Compensation based on level of experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Managing projects from proposal and contract preparation to deliverable
• Data processing of conventional and GNSS (RTK & static) data
• GNSS Post-processing
• A strong understanding of geodetic surveys--familiarity with State Plane Coordinates, low distortion projections, geoid
modeling, etc.
• UAS data collection and processing
• AutoCad Civil 3D
• Trimble Business Center
• Star*Net
Required:
California P.L.S. or pre-1982 P.E.
Valid driver's license is required.
