Hi, I'm looking for copies of historical (old) 7.5 min quad sheets. Mebbe from 60's or earlier. Does anybody know if these are available and/or where I might
go to find/search for these items.

Which ones do you need? I have a bunch of old quads, including some 15'. Mostly mountain regions.

I’ve used the iPhone version, not familiar with this one but they have historic quad maps from early 1900s (pre aerial photo days) to current that I have retraced.

Some are so old that they are grossly inaccurate it’s interesting to see how far we’ve come.

I believe these are all available through the USGS map store as well

That's a good one, I found something I've been looking for immediately and the "compare maps" transparency overlay is handy.

I can't figure out how to download maps though...

open the site, click an area of intererest, a time line appears at the bottom, click on the map you interested in, it will appear as an overlay on the big map and on the left side is a menu bar which has a small image of the map and next to it "download map", click download map and it downloads a zip file.
