Survey Technician

Huitt-Zollars’ Irvine, CA office has a full-time Office Survey Technician opportunity. This role will assist Office staff in a wide variety of land surveying projects for commercial and residential projects. HZ is a leading Architectural and Engineering firm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural and interior design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector. Responsibilities:
•Assist in preparation of ALTA, boundary, topographic, construction and special surveys
•Aid in construction staking calculations
•Assist in drafting record of surveys and of topographic surveys, subdivision and exhibit maps
•Assist in providing calculations for field staking and support of field crews
•Review field notes and perform basic calculations of record boundaries
Requirements:
•Minimum 1 year of experience
•Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
•Positive attitude and willingness to learn survey field procedures
•Valid California Driver license
•Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
