The last straw

Ok, I've had it with the uneducated telling me, with 40+ years experience, to take a simple strip description and turn it into a metes and bounds description.

It's in a old part of town where the buildings are built to the ROW line and the city wants a 1ft wide easement, the correction letter crossed that out and replaced with license, along the ROW line because the doors to the businesses open into the ROW.

Really hard; an easement for xxxxx being 1ft wide the westerly line of said easement being the westerly line of Dummy street.
The POB and TPOB are described but not germane to my complaint.

There are uneducated persons telling us licensed professionals how to write a legal desc and their name isn't on the document, which makes me look stupid.

Who is the JPPC contact for LA county?

I'm going to ask the city employee if he ever read this book. https://www.amazon.com/Writing-Legal-De ... 0960696288

There is a plat attached to the description, so even those that only understand pictures can figure it out.

It just gets better. Turns out the govt employee checking this is a traffic engineer. And even though the easement is completely within the public ROW he wants a M&B with references to the lot numbers and record info of the tract/parcel maps.

And these people make over $100k/year GRRRR
