Not a boundary case, but an interesting look at Justice Gorsuch's thinking.

He was the lone dissenter on this case.Even Justice Thomas, who usually runs along similar lines, did not sign on to this one.

It is indeed an interesting case - an amalgamation of constitutional, contract, family, and probate law, along with civil procedure. A different set of circumstances could easily involve boundary matters. Between legislative and judicial processes, there are a lot of interdependent moving parts.

Just glancing at it, it looks like Gorsuch has the better argument but maybe it's not that simple.

David...give that a better read. Mr. Gorsuch appears to opine that a contract supersedes any statutory updates or revisions...regardless of the area of the law.
