Hello.

Looks like there is a way to get filed maps on this page, but I keep getting an error when I go into
this tab. Any ins and outs I should know about this? Haven't accessed this GIS before.

The GIS only identifies recorded maps. To actually get a copy you must go through the County Recorder. You have to subscribe and put a deposit in your account to actually get a copy of the maps. Then you can download the maps you want.
