The online index does not show any recorded / filed maps after 12-01-2020.
Does anyone know how often this online index is updated?

When I was there, the index was updated every few months or so. The maps available were updated every week.

Thank you, I have a Tract map 'recorded' in November and it won't show up on the index search yet.

Call the County at (650) 363-4100. Someone will be able to assist you.

The county has had a contract County Survey for the past year +, so there is no one giving direct directions to staff that has knowledge of what normal procedure is/was. I do know they recently went through the hiring process, and a new County Surveyor has been hired, but not sure when they begin.

The contract CS was the same one who had the task before I took on the role. He well knows the process and procedures. The Survey Tech performing the initial review of the maps has been there for a very long time (I'd give my eye teeth to hire her away). More than likely, the COVID mess has mucked things up. As I said, a call the agency will straighten things out for you.

I guess you don't realize who hired the tech and trained her you talk about, as she left Alameda County to go work for San Mateo Co.
Maybe you also don't know who implemented some of the map search items, like CR and RS listings, and standard protocols for the survey department. It sure wasn't management, as I left due to the fact they didn't like that I knew more about surveying then they did, lol.
Hopefully the incoming CS works well with the private sector.
