Title Searcher

I need someone to search public records (deeds etc.) in the San Jose area. I had a guy but cannot find him. Does anyone know of a private title search person or firm who could help us research for a supposedly landlocked parcel needing a right of way?

We use John Hebda out of Santa Barbara and I believe he covers the entire State.

In a meeting yesterday with a title officer from a regional title company I made the embarrassing admission that when doing title searches -- especially those that involve reading a lot of 19th-century handwritten deeds on microfilm -- I have a hard time staying awake. I don't know what it is about those, but after about 15 minutes I struggle to keep my eyes open, which makes the task really difficult. Much to my surprise, the title officer said that he has the same problem.
My hat is off to people who can do that kind of work for hours at a time.
