Yolo County Fee Increases Pending

FYI: Yolo County DPW staff is going to ask the Board of Supervisors for fee increases next week. The proposed ROS checking fee is going from $730 per sheet (up to 3 sheets, actual costs for more) to $1,070 for the first sheet and $783 for each additional. The new fees include up to 2 map checks; each additional map check will be $705. The current fees don't limit the number of checks.
For a 2-sheet ROS: $1,460 now, $1,853 proposed ($393 increase).
For a 3-sheet ROS: $2,190 now, $2,636 proposed ($446 increase).
I'm printing mylars now on a 9-sheet ROS, and have paid $3,930 in checking fees so far. I'm not sure if there are more coming, but if so, I expect them to be less than $2,000. Let's say $6,000 total to be pessimistic. Under the new scheme the fees would be $8,744 because it needed 4 checks (there were some boundary changes mid-process as the result of additional title research).
All of these fees also entail an additional 6% "technology fee."
