New Tech looking for work in OC/LA area

To whom it may concern,
I recently moved back to California after briefly working as a surveying tech at a construction company in Arizona.
I really enjoyed the work and am seeking to get back into the industry and advance my career.
Is there a company or position open that is willing to take me in?
I am not completely a novice, but I had to leave the company and position due to personal issues before I could get my career off of the ground in any sense.
Now that I am in a more stable place, I wish to look for work and actually work on my surveying career by seeking a mentor, taking classes, and attending association meetings.
I am in Whittier and am looking for work in the southern LA country and northern OC area.
