Spectrum is seeking a qualified Land Surveyor with AutoCAD expertise to work in a supporting role within our easement acquisition department. LOCATION: Orange, California (remote work schedules are available)
POSITION: Land Surveyor – Remote position - A PLS license is not required
JOB DESCRIPTION:
With minimal direction from the project manager, the position focuses on writing, and reviewing complex centerline and metes & bounds legal descriptions and preparing plat maps (Exhibit Maps) of easement take areas involving the acquisition of electric utility easements. In a productive team environment, the Surveyor collaborates with other staff and performs analysis of land title records such as, AutoCAD designs, deeds, maps, and other documents of record to prepare legal descriptions and exhibit maps.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 2+ years of experience writing, reviewing and preparing legal descriptions and plat maps using an AutoCAD program
• Ability to thoroughly interpret land title deeds to accurately describe easement and property boundaries
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD design files and produce narrative and mapped legal descriptions
• Must have clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal
PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced skill with AutoCAD or Civil 3D preparing easement exhibit maps and plats
• 2+ years of experience performing general to advanced land surveying functions in an office environment
PAY RANGE: ($89K to $110K/yr.) Actual pay rate will be based on candidate qualifications & experience.
