I agree with Mr. Pallamary a hundred percent.
Already written in 8726(f), geodetic or cadastral work is the domain of the professional land surveyor.
The earth science types love this remote sensing stuff. University of Oklahoma is offering an on line masters of science degree in Geospatial Technology. I've seen these MS in Geology or Geospatial Technology types in action. A field visit for some of them reminds me of Maynard G. Krebs when hearing the word "work." They get spooked and bring a backpack full of sunscreen and bug spray and other accoutrements that no self respecting surveyor would bring in the field. I digress.
Point is the above described highly educated types perhaps accidentally venture into the PLS domain and make assertions that are way off, not connected to reality, and get into trouble with County Surveyors and other professionals (engineers and surveyors). Still, they are a good pool to draw from and mentor.
