New Riverside County Surveyor - Rick Lantis

Ken Teich has retired and is no longer County Surveyor!

Rick Lantis is now County Surveyor and will start on June 16th, 2014.

Let's congratulate the new CS for Riverside County and wish him well.

Does the county require that the license expiration date be shown? I was glad when the state removed that requirement, as it complicated submittals and confused clients without conveying any useful information.

I think it's personal preference, now that is optional.

I have taken an X-acto blade to my seal ...

Up until recently (last year) I believe the expiration date was still required for subdivision maps per SMA. The Counties down here that I submit stuff to generally show them for the County Surveyors or Deputies signing any map (FM, PM, RS).

Congratulations! This is very exciting Rick. You will make a fine County Surveyor and undoubtedly you will elevate the stature of the profession. Good luck!
