Hogan Land Services Looking for some Survey Technicians

As a Survey Technician at HLS, you will operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations, and contours, and use this information to establish geographical locations and boundaries. The Survey Technician receives direct and general supervision from the Survey Department Manager with no supervision of staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Field surveying
Downloading/uploading survey field data in AutoCAD
Processing of field survey data.
Land record research
AutoCAD drafting
Property Research
Field calculations
Drafting of maps and legal descriptions
Interpreting and plotting record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys
Prepares all types of surveying plats and exhibit drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field
Performs stakeout calculations for construction sites
Prepares documents including; Topographic maps, ALTA surveys, Boundary surveys
May perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Works well in a team environment and perform assigned duties independently
Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and project team members
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Outlook, and use of Computer-Aided Design software (AutoCAD, etc.)

Experience: LSIT is a plus

Salary: Dependent on experience and ability.

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
