A local agency in the Sierra foothills is seeking an EXPERIENCED party chief for a unique and challenging position. The work is performed in both a field and in an office setting depending on the situation. This is currently a temporary position and the length of time the party chief’s services are needed is undetermined at this time, but it will most likely be for 6 months to start. The schedule is flexible and the work is very interesting and full of variety. This could be an excellent opportunity for the right surveyor!
Experience required:
Knowledge of state and local laws relative to boundary determination and the preparation of legal descriptions, plats and maps for filing with local county surveyors offices and experience in the actual preparation and creation of said documents.
Field experience in gathering and sufficiently documenting the supporting evidence required to create the products mentioned above. This would include the ability to keep accurate and detailed field notes, sketches, etc. to be supplied to the Associate Land Surveyor for review.
Extensive computer skills, specifically in a PC environment, COGO experience, drafting/AutoCad skills. (Land Desktop-Civil 3D preferred.) Word, etc.
