Does the passing create more employment opportunities for land surveyors? If so, does anyone know where the work is likely to be?

My question is, will it create any jobs other than social type stuff? I am not holding my breath on this one and only time will tell. I am sure the lobbyist coffers will be filled first.

Lets see, the very morons that got us in to this fix are the ones that are going to fix the mess? Hmmmm.

I'm wondering if Mark was thinking in terms of his working for a company, that may get additional work ? -or- was he thinking of employment for himself ?

One item to note: with all of the unemployment, (especially construction staker/survey types), the State MAY decide to self hire for these state staking jobs, instead of subbing out to firms,where they have to pay for more administration "pork" but then these guys do love their pork.

I'm not being mean towards the large engineering firms, but face the facts, Why should tax payers pay $200/hour for a "principle in charge" when they can hire a few good "unemployed" folks and save money. PLUS, the in-State engineers will have complete control of the project.

I wanna grab some of that work for me and my employees, but reality is reality. bummer. . . . Somebody pass the sausage please ???

I overlooked your response somehow.

I don't discriminate, I'll take some of that stimulus money any way I can get it (legally of course). Have license and equipment, will travel :)

I would like to think that all of the hard working surveyors that are in limbo will soon be gainfully employed again.
