Hatanaka Compressed

Post by Brian Christensen »

Need help decompressing Hatanaka compressed RINEX using CRX2RNX. Can anyone explain the DOS commands for this program? The "readme.txt" was no help. I'm just spinnin' my wheels here!

Thanks!

Yeah, that's where I got the program. I can't seem to get it to run. I don't know the DOS commands. I've used it before, but don't remember how to input the *09d files. I also tried the program from UNAVCO's site. I think that might have been the one I used before. Similar, aren't they?

Try dragging and dropping your observation file onto the the program icon. Always worked for me.

That's what I was doing. Do I leave the quotation marks bracketing the path? Isn't "-" the command to convert? Do I place the minus symb before or after the path for the file to be converted?

I don't use this but suggest the CSRC site may be of some help at

http://csrc.ucsd.edu/gpsData/hatanaka.html

or, Try the help command: crx2rnx -h

-Put the crx2rnx.exe program on your desktop or other convenient location.
-Grab your *.09d (compressed) file and drag it on to the crx2rnx.exe icon (program is not running at this time).
-*.09O file will be output to the folder which contained the original compressed file.

No typing needed :)

That was WAAYYY too easy! That isn't how I remember doing it last time.

I ended up finding the old RINEX I needed on UNAVCO's FTP, so I didn't need to decompress after all, but good to know what the heck I'm doing for next time!

Thanks a bunch!
