Anybody using Trimble Access and TCC

Post by mfarrauto »

Is there anybody out there who has been using Trimble Access and the TCC? If so, I had a question about the site management and file structure.

Is there a way to restrict the amount of data being sent from the field to the office without creating multiple sub-folders within a logged "site"? It seems that when I'm logged into a particular "site" in the DC and when I go to send data, it transfers all files that are within that "site" that I'm logged into, including the ones that I received from the office.

Example: I receive a control file from the office and import into dayfile1. I finish the day and send my data back to the office. It will send dayfile1 and the control file that was sent to me. If I continue into day2 and create dayfile2, finish the day and send my data, it will resend dayfile1, control data and dayfile2 because they're all in the same "site". It gets to be a problem when I have days and days of files within a "site".

The only way I have found to prevent this is to create sub-folders within the DC by date and then create a separate dayfile for each day.

Anybody got a better way to manage the data flow?
