Conference Auction

Post by Steve Martin »

If anyone has items that they would be willing to donate to the auction at the Conference, and you are not attending the conference, please let me know and I will make arrangements to have the items picked up.

We have several good items already, but we need some more to make this one of our best auctions. Many people regularily donate and bring items to the conference. Please fill out the pdf fill-in donation form and e-submit to the Central Office so we can get the items cataloged and ready for the auctions.

Many Chapters also regularily donate also. I understand that the San Diego Chapter has outdone itself with some custom autographed Buck knives. Please specify which of your Chapter donations are for door prizes and which are for the auction.

Thanks to all of you who have supported the auctions in the past. With so many individuals donating and bidding on items, we have had great success, and fun, at past auctions. Let's make this one just as great.

We have a Mardi Gras theme in the auction room this year. Dress accordingly and be prepared for a party!

I've got a couple of small items (books) that I was going to bring if I can get them out of storage before I leave for Reno. I don't want to submit the donation form before I locate the books. Will you be able to catalog such items and place them in the silent auction at the conference?

Catalog

Post by Steve Martin »

Evan,

Yes we can catalog the items at the conference. All of the items need to be cataloged and set out before we can open the booth for people to browse and bid on items. If you can drop the books off on Sunday that will help us to open up for business Monday morning.

If I can find them, I'll get them to you on Sunday or before.

Steve,
The Education Committee will be receiving a few tasty items from me. Those who have a sweet tooth, or a taste for beef will have something to bid on, heheheee!
