Both BPELSG and the Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) have received general inquiries recently regarding the practice of land surveying (and engineering) as that practice relates to contractor licensing. These inquiries have provided both boards with the opportunity to jointly discuss the issues and respond accordingly to the inquiry.
In addition to this, CSLB has recently posted a new Industry Bulletin reminding their licensees that the CSLB-issued license does not allow them to performing land surveying (and civil engineering) work.
