wanted: Los Angeles surveyor for a residential boundary determination

Post by Sir Ricardo »

.

Hello:

I just joined this fine forum......

My sister lives in LA (90064) and is having a boundary dispute with her neighbor. She believes he has encroached on her property; he says "that's where the boundary is." They have lived side-by-side for 10 years and have no "problems" except this one.

There are no documents that she knows of that show the actual boundary.

So, she would like to talk with someone / hire someone to make that boundary line determination.

Any thoughts on how we might proceed?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

thank you

Richard

Los Angeles County appears to have a great website where you can research record maps. Looking up the subdivision map that created your lot might be a good place to start and will help in your conversations with surveyors.

Do you have an address or legal description? You can PM me if you don't want to post it publicly. I'd be happy to look at what records exist in the area.
