LLA - City of S. El Monte

Has anyone here prepared a LLA in the City of S. El Monte? If so, then are there a set of guidelines, application, template, sample, etc.? Ideas on who to contact within the City. Your help is appreciated. Thank in advance.

Did you try online to see if the City site has samples?

What I have done in the past is to go to the city I was doing the LLA in and get a copy of the most recently approved one and use that as a basis.

Set monuments under what authority? That is not an LA County LLA requirement. Just want to make that clear.

A city ordinance has to have been passed for monuments to be required. Make sure one has been and it's not just some city employees personal preference.

No record of survey shall be required for a lot line adjustment unless required by Section 8762 of the Business and Professions Code.

Ask the CE what specific activity you are doing that triggers 8762, requiring you to set monuments and file a ROS.

If you were applying for a building permit subsequent to the LLA approval and deeds were exchanged/recorded; and there was a question as to whether you were meeting the minimum zoning setbacks, I can see the Building Offical asking for monuments to be set to define the property line for the inspector to sign off foundation form boards and setback requirements.

At the LLA stage, no. Connected to improvement of the property, maybe. Just my opinion.
