CALTRANS District 10 Monument Preservation

Post by Sunburned_Surveyor »

A large chunk of Highway 12 near Lockeford in San Joaquin County was recently repaved. Does anyone know who I would contact at CALTRANS District 10 about the monument preservation efforts and records for this project?

I'd like to follow-up with the agency on the monument preservation as part of my role on the San Joaquin County Government Liaison Committee of the Central Valley Chapter.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi Landon

Here are the numbers to request copies of maps that we have used before. Maybe they can refer you to the right person to talk about monument preservation. I know it is a real issue out there. It looks to me like the I-99 construction wiped out the Range line for many miles with no monumentation map to perpetuate the location of previously existing monuments.

Hey Landon. You might want to try this guy too. He might be in District 4, though but maybe he can put you in touch with someone else.
