Stockton Chiseled Cross Project: Field Work Saturday October 6

Post by Sunburned_Surveyor »

I'm working with three LSITs (Chris Martin, George Ball, and Alfredo Mijango) on field work to locate a large group of chiseled cross property corner monuments I have cataloged around the KSN office in Stockton. The work will be done using a total station and the results will be recorded on a Record of Survey. This work is being done as part of the volunteer Stockton Chiseled Crosses Project and is being sponsored by KSN and Redefined Horizons.

We’ve scheduled our first day of field work for Saturday, October 6. We are going to start early in the morning and I’m going to barbeque an afternoon in the KSN parking lot when the field work is completed. If you’d like to get some experience with the field procedures and adjustment of conventional measurements, I invite you to join us.

Please let me know if you plan on attending so I can make sure I have enough food for the barbeque.

You are a surveyor after my own heart!

If I could, I would be there to assist in that effort.

"... I’m going to barbeque an afternoon in the KSN parking lot..."

What sort of rub do you use on an afternoon? Is there much meat on one?

In all seriousness, I'll post this at work and see if anyone else is interested.

My compliments to you and the other volunteers. This is truly protecting the public by placing this info into the public record for future generations.

Hi Landon:

Sign me up! The only request I have is that I don't have to work with your boss. :)

BTW- Is the beer-pong... I mean ping-pong table still in the garage?

Are you coming to help?

This is just a reminder that we will be tying chiseled crosses in Stockton this Saturday. We are going to start at 6AM and hope to be eating our BBQ shortly after lunch.

Let me know if you are coming so I can organize labor and have enough food.

Thanks.

Landon
