It's a shame that there is not an exception to this single page CR ruling.. A second sheet would have been very handy for additional notes, again, more valuable information being lost just because of some short sighted judgment. The board should at least allow a second sheet, I could live with a limit of two sheets...

Anyway, this street in Glendale has zero centerline control. The city just avoids the area..period! This area is about 2000 feet N/S and 600 feet E/W. There is not any evidence at all that the centerline was ever set and tied out back in the mid 20's. No crosses or old leads in the curb. We searched about 700 feet either side of the lot. We did see scattered survey monuments, but nothing one could rely upon to do a professional survey.

The huge plus for this one lot is that it borders on the north tract line and that line is common to a subdivision that recorded in 1947.. we based the survey on that common tract line coming in from Glenoaks Boulevard. Glenoaks is the one monumented right of way that will be the closest to original positions.

I have attached a couple of files. Two are the CR PDF files, the other one is a JPG of two walls, built to two different opinions with a strip of unoccupied/unclaimed area between the two walls. This area was the only one I mapped but I did observe other wall/fence situations such as this as we did the survey.

Split of improvements is out. The original 1925 plans show the curb face to be 4 foot offset the RW lines and parallel with and concentric to them. Not even close! We mapped out a good 700 feet of the existing improvements to get a good handle on what was going on in the area.
