Wild T2000

Does anyone here have any experience with this instrument (Wild T2000)? I do not, but am hoping that I can gain some knowledge of its controls and sync with a data collector. I am now the proud owner of this instrument and the DI1600 EDM that goes along with it. It did not come with a user manual, so that's why I am seeking info here. Your help is appreciated.

If I could do it in person I could eventually recall something that would be helpful to you. But it has been over 20 years since I last had my hands on one.

Thank you. I will become proficient with this, now that I have a way to understand this equip. I know that I need to understand how to set ppm and prism constant etc. So, just getting to know how to use the onboard keypad will be a temporary challenge. It looks like each key may be used for multiple functions. Anyone else feel free to chime in with any tips/tricks etc.

This is an homage to Mr. Dave Hobbs. I have recently acquired this instrument as it was his personal "gun". So, I've got to see this one through and make it work.

It's a great instrument in my opinion. A little on the heavy side for packing up the hills, but definitely solid. If you get a chance you might want to pick up a DI-5 edm to go with it. The DI-5's shoot for miles and seem to burn right through leaves that will obstruct many of the other edm's. You will probably notice a slight difference between direct and reverse distance readings on the more extreme vertical angles, due the the offset nature of the modular edm's. It's good for star shots with the edm removed, too! I've heard that tryinig to get a T2000 repaired these days is not an easy task. Probably cheaper to buy another one instead.
