Office Survey Calculations Specialist

Progressive California based Civil Engineering and Surveying firm is seeking a qualified candidate to help run the Field Surveying Department for its Northern California operations.

The position requires extensive knowledge of construction staking and field surveying techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years combined field and office experience performing the following; construction staking, personnel management, survey calculations and project management duties. Experience with Trimble GPS, Robotic Surveying, AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop, TDS and Trimble Geomatics Office is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Experience with reading construction plans.
-Responsible for all project related AutoCAD tasks, including set-up of the job, exhibits, verification topo, pad certifications, post-processing quantities, and others, as required.
-Provide in-office support for field crews throughout the day.
-Provide feedback for crew scheduling.
-Assist with general project and office support, as needed.
-Perform other duties, as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated working knowledge of surveying and construction staking technical practices. Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Land Desktop Development 2008.

PREFERRED:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. L.S. or L.S.I.T. Technical survey experience in heavy civil survey projects, including job set-up and quality control processes.
