Atlanta, GA (April 1, 2014) – Allen Precision Equipment Inc. announced today the launch of the world’s first 100% robotic, robotic total station – the APE 2000.

The APE 2000 Robotic Total Station has several amazing new features including the ability to change position independently.

This new robotic total station replaces up to five men on a project and can easily maneuver itself around a job site, quickly determining the best way to survey the area and the points that need to be collected. This virtually eliminates the need for tedious office work, saving you both valuable time and money.

The APE 2000 can complete most jobs in just a fraction of the time required by a typical robotic total station and is the first of its kind that does not require a “line of sight.â€￾ Instead, the unit has the unique ability to burn a small hole through brush, leaves, trees and even buildings using its onboard laser. It can even be programmed to place orders and pick up lunch.

“This revolutionary product is the first of its kind and will forever change the surveying field,â€￾ said Tracy Foran, Allen Precision Equipment’s general manager. “Not only is the APE 2000 more cost efficient, it’s the first field crew in history that doesn’t require coffee to get started.â€￾
