S.M.U.D. Survey Eng. Tech

Post by Dave Sigman »

Please check out the posting under "Survey Engineering Technician (Journey). https://www.smud.org/en/about-smud/care ... h-jobs.htm We're seeking a person with at least 2 years field experience. An LSIT is preferred but is not mandatory. Some skills like rappelling and rope work are required but rarely needed. We'll give you the training so don't worry about that.

SMUD has competitive pay and a very generous benefit package. PERS pension, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, 457B, generous vacation/sick leave, FMLA, short and long term disability insurance available, etc. It's also a great place to work - a friendly and supportive work environment. Most people who come to work for SMUD never want to work anywhere else.

We run two field crews. Both current party chiefs plan to retire within the next two years so the possibility of upward mobility is there, however, being civil service you would have to compete for the next opening like anyone else.

The posting closes April 21 so please apply if you're interested.

Thanks,
