CRTN Troubles

Post by Jim Frame »

I'm test-driving a Javad Triumph-LS, and am having a hair-pulling time with CRTN connections. I'm located just over a km from UCD1, so I spent the first couple of days trying to connect to it, without success. After some email between Michael Glutting (Javad), Yehuda Bock (CSRS) and me, it came to light that UCD1 had a negative antenna height that apparently threw the Javad for a loop. Once Yehuda fixed that I was able to connect.

(Edit: I had a paragraph here about mountpoint names, then realized that I had entered the wrong port. Sorry!)

I tried to download the CRTN Access File (the Excel spreadsheet with mountpoint names, IP addresses and port numbers) from the CSRC site, and get a "Document/Utility Missing" webpage instead.

I'm awash in variables at the moment, but after correcting my wrong-port problem it no longer looks like there's anything wrong on the CRTN end. Sorry for raising a false alarm.
