Diversified Project Services International Inc. (DPSI) is a leader in project engineering, geomatics (surveying), planning, permitting, inspection, energy management and construction management. We serve clients in the petroleum, chemical and power industries as well as commercial and residential development, energy, public agencies, schools and agriculture.
DPSI is actively seeking a full-time SURVEY TECHNICIAN – PARTY CHIEF position for our Bakersfield office. This position must possess at least 4 years’ experience surveying and with a construction staking background.
Responsibilities include:
• Communicate directly with project managers for estimating and creating project scopes and proposals
• Provide leadership and mentoring to field staff members
• Organize and lead the designated field survey crew
• Perform construction surveys in which it may be required to set offset stakes to define horizontal and vertical positions of proposed improvements within the construction site
• Complete topographic surveys with little to no direction
• Prepare field calculations for construction projects
• Boundary resolution and preparation of legal descriptions
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/G.E.D
• Background in Construction Staking
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Valid California driver’s license
• Good verbal and oral communication
• At least 4 years’ experience as a Survey Party Chief
