Thanks to State Officers and Chapter Reps/Directors

Our CLSA President Elect (Jay Seymour) came to visit our chapter a few days ago. He gave an excellent talk, which included some discussion of the work that our state officers and chapter reps/directors dedicate to the organization.

I wanted to specifically thank Jay for his visit (which I know was part of a long trip with several nights away from home). I also wanted to thank our state officers and the chapter reps/directors. I know that many surveyors have responsibilities to family, work, religion, or community that prevent them from making the FULL COMMITMENT to CLSA that these other members do. I appreciate the LARGE sacrifice these more active members make for surveyors throughout our state.

I know there are strong differences in opinion among our members, but it is good to remember that all those participating in the Board of Directors and as State Officers are volunteers that dedicate their time and energy because they love surveying, believe in its importance to society, and care about each other.

At any rate...just wanted to say thanks. I'm proud to be a part of an organization with folks that give as much as our state officers and chapter reps.

Well stated! With all the discussion on this Board, we fail, to a large degree, in taking the time to recognize the extraordinary efforts the CLSA Officers and Board dedicate to this profession for the benefit of us all!
