LAND SURVEYOR / PROJECT MANAGER (Irvine, CA)

Irvine A/E office seeks Land Surveyor/Project Manager with 10 years experience in land surveying.
Experience in land surveying related to: residential/commercial/industrial sites/public works projects. Ability to be proactive in finding, resolving and making independent judgments on survey related issues.

Responsibilities:
" Plans, organizes, executes and coordinates surveying services on assigned projects.
" Responsible for preparation of Tentative Parcel Maps, Tract Maps, Parcel Maps, ALTA Surveys, Records of Survey, Easement Documents (legal descriptions & sketches), Right-of-Way (ROW) Documents, Lot Line Adjustments, Lot Mergers.
" Utilizes ingenuity, forethought and judgment in anticipating and solving technical problems.
" Ensures that the technical, administrative, man-hour, and schedule requirements of the assigned projects are met and in accordance with applicable professional standards, design control procedures and survey guidelines.
" Oversees and accomplishes objectives of survey projects.
" Assures projects are in accordance with scope of services and budget.
" Maintains a good working knowledge of survey procedures, quality control, and legal principles.
Qualifications and Skills
" 5+ years progressively responsible work experience in land surveying. LSIT is required, PLS not required but highly desirable.
" Associates or bachelors degree in Land Surveying or related field OR California LSIT certification required.
" Experience with developing proposals, coordination with clients, and managing small project budgets.
" Proven ability to work effectively with peers, superiors, subordinates, clients, and General Contractors in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
" Strong working knowledge and experience setting up and operating robotic total stations and GPS-RTK equipment.
" Demonstrates a working knowledge of Land Surveyors Act, Subdivision Map Act, applicable state and local agency regulations governing land surveying.
" Knowledge of Final Map Review and Approval process.
" Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD software, Civil 3D, LDD, Carlson, and Leica Geo Office.
" Working knowledge of ArcMap or ArcGIS applications software desirable.
" Demonstrated proficiency in field-to-finish descriptor/feature coding for auto line work using LDD, Carlson, or similar software.
" Experience with Laser Scanning equipment setup and operation, not required but desirable.
" California Drivers license.
