Does the Corner Record need revisions ?
I think that the current CR form needs to have a few changes made to it.
The Surveyor's Statement reads:
This Corner Record was prepared by me or under my direction in conformance with the Land Surveyor's Act on _____________, ______
Signed_______________ PLS or RCE No. _______________
With Cadd as one of our main tools, many times it is easier to make any county surveyor corrections or additions using Cadd instead of erasing / editing the original signed. This of course changes the original date of submission because a Cadd corrected form needs to be signed again with a new signature date.
Adding a resubmission date and signature as well as the word 'originally' to the current form would help a lot in my opinion
This Corner Record was [originally] prepared by me or under my direction in conformance with the Land Surveyor's Act on _____________, ______
Signed_______________ PLS or RCE No. _______________
Resubmission date: ___________ Signed:________________
The second page should be user optional - Grid or No Grid

I looked through a corner record this week from Santa Cruz County that called three undisturbed original monuments from the subject map off by at least a half foot each. Monuments were then set at calc points corresponding to the dimensions on the original map.
The concept of the corner record has been so grossly perverted, that I for one cannot accept the idea. I'll look them over to see whose tags I may find, briefly scoff, and then go about my work.

How I handle an RS Surveyors Statement
Over cautious, maybe!
I just do not like the idea of explaining why an RS or CR that's been finalized (County seal/signature applied) has a conflict with the state time
frame for submitting.

I do not thing your suggested revision is necessary. As mentioned by LS4722 your submission date and County Surveyors date of signing should be sufficient enough. If there is a large gap of time, it is obvious there were revisions, or maybe the County was too busy to review the corner record within the time frame outlined in Section 8773.2

County receipt date changes when an amended CR is resubmitted, in conflict with the date of survey, which never changes. An original County receipt date on first submission is always within statute time frame of date of survey, well, for my submissions it is..[/QUOTE].... As mentioned by LS4722 your submission date and County Surveyors date of signing should be sufficient enough.
Nothing is obvious to an attorney, except how to twist the truth.... If there is a large gap of time, it is obvious there were revisions..

the date submitted?
"This of course changes the original date of submission because a Cadd corrected form needs to be signed again with a new signature date."
Just put a line thru the original date and put the date I am resubmitting.
Don't have to resign anything.

Well then paul
I stand corrected. And as long as I am being corrected I will resign and re date the CR and make it correct.
