Overview: Small South Bay land surveying business is seeking an experienced LSIT with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience, who is skilled at detail throughout the survey process including research, field work, and drafting. Priority will be given to candidates that blend excellent technical skills, solid decision making skills, efficient field operation, and excellent people skills. After a year of employment demonstrating these skills, this individual would qualify for performance bonuses based on TKM achieving their revenue goals.

Job title: Party Chief, LSIT
Reporting to: Tom Milo, PLS, Partner TKM Land Surveyors
Salary: Competitive salary, negotiable based on skill set and experience.
Hours: 50-60 hours a week; occasional week-end work required.
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Overview: This individual is key contributor to the success of TKM Land Surveyors. Critical skills include the quality of the research for each job, the accuracy of field work, and the quality and accuracy of the drafting.
Job Responsibilities: Candidate shall be competent in performing the following tasks:
1) Plans, organizes, and directs work of one or more survey parties to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining or other purposes:
2) Researches previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
3) Develops new data from photogrammetric records.
4) Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.
5) Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
6) Coordinates findings with work of drafting, QC and others concerned with project.
Experience with GPS Equipment: Company currently uses Topcon Total Station and Robotics. Candidate must have familiarity with the latest GPS systems and robotics. Individual must have AUTO-CAD experience. TKM currently uses Carlson Survey software.
