Classification: Land Surveyor I/II
Salary Range: I: $24.24 to $29.59 Per Hour II: $26.78 to $32.70 Per Hour

The Position: Under general supervision, performs complex professional work in the review, approval and processing of maps and records for compliance with applicable codes and regulations: prepares legal descriptions of property; supervises a work unit of professional and technical staff; performs related office and field work as required.
The position is part of the County Surveyor’s Office of the Community Resources Agency.
In summary, some of the primary duties of this position will be to perform right-of-way and property boundary research; assist with right of way acquisitions and vacations; perform various field surveys; draft maps and exhibits; examine and write legal descriptions; perform map examinations; assist the public and agencies with survey related information; maintain files and indexes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Only candidates who demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements will be considered for the testing and/or interview process.
Requirements:
Both I & II: Must possess a valid California driver's license.
I: Must possess a California Land Surveyor in Training Certificate (LSIT)
II: Must possess a a California Professional Land Surveyor license or registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California obtained prior to 1982.
