Job Title: Licensed Land Surveyor
Position Type: Exempt, Full-Time, Management Position
Location: Bakersfield, California
POSITION OVERVIEW
IES Engineering has an excellent career opportunity for a Licensed Land Surveyor. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical experience and interpersonal skills.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES
•Field and office work for topographic and ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, lot line adjustments, construction staking, and more. More requirements for this position include project and staff management, business development, and marketing.
•Excellent working knowledge and practical experience in performing GPS, geodetic surveys and surveying and mapping methods
•Assist in managing our existing clients and contracts as well as assist in obtaining new contracts
•Must have the ability to independently complete field to office tasks with demonstrated expertise in standard survey equipment
•Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
•Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse groups; and effectively mentor staff along the way.
QUALIFICATIONS
•At least 5 years experience as a licensed land surveyor
•Must be a professionally licensed land surveyor in the State of California
•Excellent oral & written communication skills
•Ability to operate RTK level GPS unit
•Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
