We currently have a unique and inspiring opportunity for a Land Surveyor Technician/Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) to join our growing team in Cameron Park, CA. With strong client relationships across Northern California and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, our Cameron Park office has a rich history spanning more than 30 years. The primary job assignment is for work to be performed throughout Northern California, where we currently have a number of exciting existing and upcoming land surveying projects. This position will include primarily land surveying duties both in the field and in the office, with a strong emphasis on your ongoing professional development. Ideally, this position will be well suited to LSIT candidates who are looking to develop future skills across leadership, project management and business development, or who are soon to sit for their PLS. A key requirement for this role is a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, in an appropriate or related field.

Here is some of what you can expect by joining our enthusiastic team:
• Collaborate with fellow land surveying professionals on a wide range of projects including energy, industrial, water resources and tunneling projects
• Conduct field work to produce geospatial mapping and support to engineering functions.
• Produce dynamic end products for our internal and external clients
• Be involved in the construction of these same exciting projects through monitoring, construction staking, laser scanning and certifications
• Interact with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and scientists, clients and key stakeholders to help create successful land surveying projects
• Employ your Civil 3D and GIS talents across a range of boundary, topographic and construction surveys

• Latest versions of land surveying software and field equipment, including an array of robotic total stations, GPS receivers, digital levels and laser scanning equipment to use on your projects

Key Requirements:
• BS Degree in Geomatics/Surveying or similar, with a minimum of 3+ years of applicable industry experience.
• LSIT certificate for California
• Proficiency with setup and operation of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GPS receivers a plus
• Proficiency in the field with Trimble Access software (data collection, stakeout, adjustments, upload & download) is a plus
• Knowledge of basic surveying principles (leveling, traverse adjustments, GPS, trigonometry, and geometry)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software, including knowledge of points, styles, surfaces, alignments, and database management is a plus
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Sufficient physical flexibility, stamina and balance to perform bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, working on ladders, walking over rough terrain and lifting or moving up to 40 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
