M&M&Co. is a Los Angeles area based land surveying company that provides exceptional surveying and drafting services. We work seamlessly with other professionals such as architects, engineers, contractors, realtors, and attorneys to ensure projects are completed to the specifications of all parties involved, and in a timely fashion. We serve all areas of Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. We work extensively in Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, and West Hollywood.

General Requirements

• Experience – 5 years experience, either through previous work experience or a combination of both work experience and formal education. LSIT certification is preferred but not necessary.

• Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Windows operating systems and possess good word processing skills. Web-based research skills required.

• Autocad – Applicant must have a strong working knowledge of Autocad and Civil 3D, including, but not limited to, boundary calculation, file import and manipulation, drafting, and contouring for topographic purposes.

• Calculation – Applicant must possess the survey knowledge and mathematical skills necessary for dealing with boundary calculation and resolution.

• Field Work – Applicant must understand all of the types of services we provide including, but not limited to, boundary, topographic and ALTA surveys, construction and boundary staking, slope analysis, monitoring, cross sections, and writing legal descriptions. Applicant must have the knowledge and professionalism necessary to lead a survey crew and interact with clients and/or project representatives.

• Physicality – Applicant must be able to perform mild-to-strenuous physical activity, utilizing lower and upper body strength. Field work is typically an all-day activity and may require some, or all, of the following:

- Lift and carry 30lbs
- Traverse over steep, rugged terrain
- Set survey/construction markers
- Endure adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Office Requirements

Applicant must be able to perform many survey and non-survey tasks while working in the office such as:

• Drafting (rough and finished drafts)
• Research
• Boundary calculation
• Prepare documents, including but not limited to:
- Easement (legals and exhibits)
- Record of Survey/ Corner Record
- Lot Line Adjustment
- FEMA certification

Field Requirements

Applicant will participate in field survey work as either a Field Technician or Crew Chief, as needed. As a Field Technician the applicant will be involved in the following:

• Equipment setup
• Read tie sheets
• Identify and mark/prepare survey monuments
• Data collector/total station operation
• Brush clearing, digging
• Set markers (e.g. lath, lead/tack/tag, iron pipe, hub, spike/tag)
• Field data download
• Photo download

As a Crew Chief the applicant will also be required to perform the following:

• Project preparation (pre-field)
• Scope-of-work review (with client or contact, on-site)
• Rod job
