David Evans and Associates, Inc. is currently looking for a Laser Scanning Processor/BIM Modeler to be part of our Geomatics and Survey team in our Ontario, CA office. The Laser Scanning Processor/BIM Modeler is responsible for providing technical support for all surveying needs in both the office and the field.
Position Duties:
- Demonstrate knowledge of scanner hardware and software
Perform computations for Laser Scans
Demonstrate understanding of contour plotting
- A minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with Leica Scanner and software; previous experience evaluating construction documents and surveying is a plus;
Comprehensive knowledge of scanning methods fundamentals, survey equipment, and its operations;
Experience translating Lidar data and working with point clouds;
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with CALTRANS projects (preferred but not necessary)
