Sacramento County Research

EEK!
I have two maps, one from 1904 and the other from 1912.

How do I find nearby R/S and Corner Records, etc.?

Assessor Maps but sometimes old R/S maps aren't on there.

Clark,

Sacramento County’s Survey webpage is: http://www.engineering.saccounty.net/Pages/Surveys.aspx. The link “Geo-referenced Final Maps and Parcel Maps” will take you to the “Online Map”. Click the following tabs: Layers (upper left), then Land Division, then check the type of map(s). In the view, you will see labels identifying the different type of maps.

Final Maps: S-xxx-yyy Subdivision Name (xxx = Book, yyy = Page)
Parcel Maps: P-xxx-yyy
Record of Surveys: O-xxx-yyy

Currently, there is not a link to the actual map; however, the Sacramento Chapter of CLSA sponsors a third-party website, http://www.sacmaps.com/, which will you allow to obtain copies of the maps.

NOTE: The Corner Record layer will be launched within the next two weeks. Use Contact Us for research in the meantime.

Ps: We are in the middle of a major overhaul of the public version of the GIS platform. Constructive comments are appreciated.

Thank you Mr. Karoly and Mr. Scarpa.
As a whole, I think the GIS site is pretty slick. It seems there may be an overlay issue, where one map is highlighted but another older underlying map is not readily visible...

Mr. Scarpa,
How are the corner records coming along?

I found a pipe in the middle of Roosevelt Avenue and 48th Street. Sure would be nice to know where it came from....

Please help.

Cheers,
Clark

Can anybody forward me a legible copy of Sacramento Heights?
