Land Surveyors and Adverse Possession

I'm currently researching a new article series on land surveyors and adverse possession. (The first article in this series should be out in our Fall 2016 California Surveyor Magazine.)

I wanted to reach out to my friends and mentors on the forum for examples, stories, and court decisions about surveyors role in adverse possession. This could be surveyors causing adverse possession, testifying about adverse possession, measuring the footprint of adverse possession, or helping to resolve claims of adverse possession.

AP is pretty much a dead issue in CA, because of the changes in judicial reasoning over time. Even if all the elements are present, there is nothing a surveyor can do about it. I would be loathed to bring up that issue with a client, since there is likely some other stronger argument/principle to advance.
