CRTN using Survey Pro

Post by laveyb24 »

I have hit a wall and cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect a TSC3 with survey pro software to a trimble R8 unit to utilize the CRTN network. I am hoping some of my colleagues can help me out with this.

Thanks

Thank you Jon.

laveyb24, send me an e-mail (contact in presentation Jon linked). I or Art Andrews should be able to walk you through it. Ensure you have a reasonably current version of firmware in R8, reasonably current version of SurveyPro (likely since you have it on a TSC3), and that your TSC3 has internet connectivity (can you browse the web?). I'll look for your e-mail and meanwhile will see if Art has a walkthrough for SurveyPro.
Take care,

Rich

I haven't been contacted by laveyb24 yet but Art Andrew looked through his Tech Support Notes and offered a couple ideas off the bat:

5. I am using a Trimble 5800 with a TSC2 Survey Controller (version 12.45) and can connect to NTRIP but get no data. I get the “waiting for online transformation data” message.

On the “Select Coordinate System” page, select “Select from library”. Do NOT select “Broadcast RTCM”. These data streams do not send this information.

6. I am using a Trimble R6 with a TSC3 Survey Controller and when I connect to a OCRTN station, I get “physical base station information not available” message.

In Rover settings, change “RTCM 3NET” to RTCM RTK”.
Take care,

Rich

Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to everyone. I am pleased to report that after a few hours of playing around with the equipment i have managed to make it work. The firmware verision in my 5800 is up to date so no problems there. Thanks for the replys and information everyone.
