Recognized as a leader in surveying, mapping & GIS services, our organization has an immediate full-time opening for an exceptional survey technician to work in one of our Southern California Offices (Orange, Rancho Cucamonga, San Diego). The ideal candidate must be available immediately and may be required to work overtime. This person will report to the Project Manager and will carry out a broad range of project assignments requiring specialized knowledge of and experience associated with land surveying principles and practices.

Responsibilities:
• Person will be responsible for compiling data collected from field surveys into CADD environment and drafting various projects including property base maps, topographic design maps, facility centerline maps, plan and profile design drawings, permit support documents, and legal plats.
• Person will be formatting design data for import into CADD environment, analyzing data and comparing to published plans, compiling reports for revision documents, preparing field packages, and supporting drafting operations.
• Person will be downloading, interpreting, organizing, reducing, and verifying field survey notes and electronic survey data from data collectors.
• Person will interpret and write legal descriptions and prepare accompanying plats under the direction of the project manager.
• Person will be performing quality control functions and quality assurance of project data and deliverables prior to submittal to clients.
• Person will perform other technical project objectives such as utility, as-built plan, and property boundary research.
• Person will be involved in the development, documentation, and implementation of procedures to promote efficient performance of a variety of geomatics services offered by Towill, Inc.
• Person will attend staff meetings to discuss technical issues related to project requirements

Requirements:
• Ability to work as a team member on large projects with aggressive schedules
• Possess strong attention to detail
• Be highly motivated.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D (2013 or later) and/or MicroStation
• Must have prior mapping and/or drafting experience
• Must be able to begin work as soon as possible.
• Must be in possession of a valid drivers’ license (Class C) and a satisfactory background and driving clearance.
• Ideal candidate will have at least 4 years industry experience and 2 years formal training or 5 years of industry experience.

L.S.I.T or E.I.T is desired, but not a requirement.
